Cefic 2015: Europe's chemicals growth shows continuing weakness

Cefic said in its chemicals trend update on Friday that European chemical output grew just 0.2% during the first seven months of 2015 compared with the same period of 2014, while producer prices fell防水涂料 4.6% year-on-year (YOY). Sales were down 3.1% during January-July 2015, compared with 2014. Latest monthly data show output growth of 0.3% in July 2015 compared with July 2014, while EU chemical prices fell 3.0%.The EU net trade surplus narrowed to €22.1 billion ($24.9 billion) during the first half of 2015, up by €773 million compared with the same period a year ago.
